Could F1 consider midweek races 'like the Champions League'?
Dutch Grand Prix boss Jan Lammers suggests that Formula 1 considers midweek races, 'just like the Champions League'. Lammers has proposed that Formula 1 follow the example of football by holding midweek events rather than sticking rigidly to competing at weekends. Article continues under video Speaking to the Dutch publication NOS, Lammers said, “Why can’t a grand prix be held on Tuesday or Wednesday night, just like the Champions League?” “It doesn’t always have to be on primetime Sunday afternoon, but it can also be on weekdays.
