Brendon Hartley to miss F1 qualifying after heavy practice accident

Toro Rosso has confirmed that Brendon Hartley will not participate in qualifying for the British Grand Prix due to the damage his STR13 sustained in a practice crash. Hartley's car suffered a left-front lower wishbone failure that shattered the suspension, pitching Hartley into and over the gravel, before he suffered a heavy impact with the wall. Hartley's car will not be repaired in time for Saturday's qualifying session at Silverstone, meaning the New Zealander is set to start from the rear of the 20-car grid.
