Williams appoint Spagnolo to bolster technical department
Former Ferrari man Antonio Spagnolo has been signed by Williams, 'in an effort to bolster performance for the remainder of 2016 and onwards'. The Italian started in F1 with Minardi back in 2004, switching to Ferrari midway through 2005. He spent the next decade with the Scuderia, acting in a variety of roles. This including being Track Engineer for Kimi Raikkonen's successful 2007 World Championship campaign, as well as the same role for both of Ferrari's Constructor's titles in '07 & '08. Having also been Fernando Alonso' race engineer from the end of 2013 until 2014, he switched to lead the Tyre Performance group at Ferrari. He left the Scuderia at the start of 2016.
