Van der Garde to replace Gutierrez in Bahrain FP1

Giedo van der Garde will replace Esteban Gutierrez at Sauber for the first practice session of the Bahrain Grand Prix weekend, as the team's new reserve driver is given his first run in the Ferrari-powered C33. The former Caterham racer will also be in action for the team on the second day of the first in-season test, which takes place from the 8-9th April. The Swiss outfit's test driver Sergey Sirotkin will drive the car on day one to fulfil the requirements for an F1 superlicense.
