Schumacher ready for F1 debut despite short pre-season

Article To news overview © Haas Mick Schumacher says he's ready to make his Formula 1 debut, when he races for Haas at the season opening Bahrain Grand Prix. The German driver is following in the footsteps of his illustrious father Michael, who made his debut 30 years ago with the Jordan team. Mick, who won the Formula 2 title in 2020, steps up to F1 this year with Ferrari backing as part of their Driver Academy. He'll race for Ferrari customer Haas. Speaking after pre-season testing, where he had just a day and a half of time in the car and lost most of half a day due to a gearbox issue, Schumacher said he feels as ready as he possibly can to go racing.
