Hamilton, Schumacher honoured with FIA awards
Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher were honoured with special awards from FIA president Jean Todt at the annual Prize Giving Ceremony in Geneva. This year, the ceremony took place with guests attending virtually due to the global health pandemic, although Schumacher’s wife Corinna accepted in person the President’s Special Award which her husband received jointly with Hamilton. The award was to recognise not only their seven World Championships apiece but also “the inspiration their sporting and personal commitments have brought to the world”.
