Williams appoints Capito as CEO, Roberts stays as team boss

Williams Racing has appointed Jost Capito as Chief Executive Officer while Simon Roberts will take on the role of Team Principal on a permanent basis. The organisation was sold to Dorilton Capital in August, ending the Williams family’s involvement, with Roberts taking on the position of team boss on an interim role. On Thursday Williams confirmed that it has recruited Capito as its new CEO and he will join the team at the start of February. Capito has spent time in senior positions at BMW, Porsche, Sauber and Ford and more recently headed Volkswagen's operations during its dominant spell in the World Rally Championship.
