Ferrari believes guilty rivals should pay for crash damage
There were many casualties on the opening lap of the Hungarian GP, including Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. He was hit by Lance Stroll in the first corner. The damage was extensive and Leclerc could not finish the race. Ferrari believes Formula One should consider making teams pay for the repairs of other cars if their driver is found guilty of causing an accident. “I think there is value for discussions in the near future with the other team principals, FIA and F1", said Ferrari team principal Mattia Binotto. “Obviously if you're not guilty, having such damage in the budget cap is something which is even more of a consequence now."
