F1 confirms only one practice session for Imola

The Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix will have only one 90 minute practice session as part of its revamped weekend schedule, Formula 1 confirmed on Tuesday. Set to employ a two-day format, F1 will forego its usual two 90-minute practice sessions on a Friday in attempt to ease the workload of team personnel. Instead, cars will take to the track for the first time at 10am on Saturday for a single practice, followed by qualifying at 2pm. Sunday's race will proceed as usual, starting at 1:10pm.
