BMW to leave WEC at the end of the season

BMW have announced that they will withdraw themselves from the World Endurance Championships when the season ends later this month. The company will stay involved in Formula E, DTM, and IMSA but will no longer be involved in the WEC. BMW Group Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt released a statement:  “We will not compete in WEC going forward.
