Ricciardo rear-wing an “easy fix”

Renault Chief Nick Chester confirmed that the DRS failure that Daniel Ricciardo encountered on Tuesday was an easy fix and that it will not happen again. Ricciardo was sent into a high speed spin coming into turn one because the top half of his rear-wing spun off as the DRS link bar failed. Chester said (as quoted by Motorsport Week): “The wing - we had a problem with the DRS mechanism, lost the link bar and then that allowed the flap to rotate. “Fortunately a fairy easy fix, we understood what the problem was and then we fixed it and have been running DRS [as normal]. “It is a bigger wing [than in 2018], more loaded, the geometry's changed as well for DRS,...
