2021 testing explained

The FIA has announced the requirements all Formula 1 teams will need to meet to create CFD simulations for the 2021 planned aerodynamics regulations. At the World Motor Sport Council meeting in December, the FIA revealed the limit on CFD development for the current cars would be lifted but only on work intended for the expected 2021 rules. At the FIA's discretion, teams will be afforded non-restricted CFD development "on an equitable and transparent basis", this is completely optional. In addition to creating simulations, teams must provide a list of flow and boundary conditions and then the FIA will consider the extra use of CFD resources. This must include the geometry of the...
