Verstappen: Radio swears due to high Budapest hopes

Hungarian Grand Prix – Red Bull's Max Verstappen has said that the high expectations ahead of the race at the Hungaroring made the race retirement 'hard to swallow'. Red Bull came to the Hungarian Grand Prix as one of the favourites for victory, owing to the decreased demand on power units. However, after a poor wet-weather qualifying performance which left Verstappen and team-mate Daniel Ricciardo in seventh and twelfth respectively, they were forced to make up ground in the race. Verstappen's race only lasted six laps, and he retired with power unit issue, whilst Ricciardo fought back to finish in fourth place, aided by late dramas for Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas.
