FP3 Summary and Results

Valtteri Bottas topped a rain-affected FP3 in the South of France as there was limited running from every car. The session started dry but less than ten minutes in, heavy rain started to fall, with only six drivers risking the treacherous conditions. Many drivers failed to get out at the start of the session, including the Ferrari pair and Lewis Hamilton, who could not set a fully dry lap and were therefore way off Bottas’ pace. With rain set for qualifying, a few drivers decided to get some experience by doing a short run at the end of the session on the wet tyres.
