Bottas: I might have got pole with the updated engine

Valtteri Bottas outqualified his Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton for the third time this season when he powered to second place on the grid for the Canadian Grand Prix but afterwards suggested that had Mercedes not withheld their engine updates he might have started from the top spot on race day. Mercedes delayed the roll-out of their new update power units due to 'quality issues' and as a result, they were up against Ferrari and Renault teams using their updated engines.
