Sainz: Renault has good baseline despite Canada setbacks
Carlos Sainz Jr. is confident Renault has a good baseline heading into the remainder of the Formula 1 race weekend in Canada despite losing running on both cars during Friday’s practice sessions. Nico Hulkenberg was limited to just three laps in FP1 as a gearbox issue caused him to come to a halt on-track, while Sainz crashed into the wall at Turn 7 with an hour remaining in FP2, bringing his session to an early end.
