Aitken: 'An amazing experience' to drive a current F1 car

Testing – Renault reserve driver Jack Aitken got his first taste of a current year Formula 1 car when he drove the R.S.18 in testing on Wednesday. Aitken was called in on testing duties for Renault on the second day of in season testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. The former Formula Renault champion and current GP3 Championship runner up was signed as the team's third/reserve driver last year and has driven older spec cars from the Enstone team, but hadn't yet driven a completely cutting edge version of one of their cars. “Today was an amazing experience for me driving a contemporary Formula 1 car for the first time.'
