Formula 1 finally sets launch date for F1 TV

Formula 1 has announced that the official launch of the sport's new F1 TV streaming service will coincide with the start of the European season. The much expected over the top subscription video platform will be proposed to F1 fans from next month's Spanish Grand Prix. Until then, Formula 1 will continue to run a closed beta version of the service to a small subset of fans for viewing and testing during this weekend's Chinese Grand Prix and at the following Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The OTT service, which was initially expected to debut in Melbourne, had been delayed in order to allow for its beta-testing and some fine-tune of the platform.
