Ecclestone wanted one more year

Bernie Ecclestone has said he does not feel let down by F1's new owners but would have liked to have stayed on as chief executive for another year. In his first television interview since being replaced in January as F1's chief executive in the wake of Liberty Media's buyout of the sport, Ecclestone told Sky Sports News HQ: "They bought the car, they wanted to drive it."
