New McLaren CEO Capito set to depart

McLaren Racing CEO Jost Capito is set to depart despite being appointed in January 2016, sources have informed F1 Hub.  According to a report published by Autosport, the former director of motorsport for Volkswagen Group is set to leave McLaren, despite starting his role in September 2016. It is understood that the 58-year old is still a McLaren employee, however is no longer working at the Woking base on a day-to-day basis. F1 Hub understand that Capito's departure could be a result of Ron Dennis's ‘gardening' leave; Jost Capito was appointed by outgoing McLaren group chairman and CEO as part of Dennis's direction with the team, and with Dennis out of the picture, McLaren are not...
