Mercedes almost pitted Hamilton after Turn One lock up

Mexican Grand Prix – Mercedes debated over the idea of pitting Lewis Hamilton after he locked his brakes into the first corner. “It all began at Turn One when Lewis flat spotted his front right tyre under braking,' explained Toto Wolff.  'That gave us a really tough call to make because we could see the vibrations getting worse and some of the peaks he was hitting were pretty scary.' The Briton was leading heading into the first corner, but was unable to slow the car down sufficiently due to a glazed front-right disc.
