Hamilton attributes disastrous race start to wheelspin

Japanese Grand Prix – Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton says that his poor race start at Suzuka was due to excessive wheel spin. Hamilton started the race from P2 alongside teammate Nico Rosberg, but immediately fell to P8 off the line after bogging down off the line. However, despite pre-race concerns about his side of the track being quite damp, he says that the problem was more on his part than with the track surface: 'It was just too much wheelspin. I'm not quite sure what went wrong, I need to sit down with the engineers and see what happened. I lost a lot of ground and had to fight back and I'm happy that I did so and got it back'.
