Renault: Valve problem led to Magnussen fire

– Renault Technical Director Nick Chester has confirmed that a problem with the valve on a fuel breather pipe triggered Kevin Magnussen's dramatic fire during the opening practice session in Malaysia.Magnussen was returning to the pit lane after an installation lap when his car caught fire, prompting the Dane to quickly stop before leaping from his RS.16.Renault mechanics eventually extinguished the fire after the car repeatedly set alight, causing the session to be red-flagged.The team reverted to a previous specification of fuel systems for the second session in which Magnussen finished 19th quickest, after missing the early stages of running."There was a problem with a valve...
