Wolff criticises ‘Cruising’ Gutierrez after Singapore lapping issues
Toto Wolff has joined the chorus of those criticising Esteban Gutierrez as the Mexican continues to be a hindrance to everyone whilst being lapped. The boss of the Mercedes AMG PETRONAS team was unhappy with the way Gutierrez cost drivers time when lapping the Haas F1 Team driver, with the Mexican being far from cooperative during the Singapore Grand Prix. Gutierrez was battling Williams Martini Racing’s Felipe Massa for eleventh place on Sunday, but while Massa was quick to get out of the way, both race leader Nico Rosberg and Red Bull Racing’s Daniel Ricciardo found it much harder to get ahead, which brought on Wolff’s criticism.
