Romain Grosjean: “Generally the car behaved in the race”

Romain Grosjean finished thirteenth in the German Grand Prix, and was much happier with his race day performance than he was during Saturday’s qualifying session at the Hockenheimring. The Haas F1 Team driver started nineteenth following a gearbox change on his VF-16, but felt his car behaved well during the 67-lap race, even if he could not get into the points. Grosjean bemoaned a stint stuck behind one of the Renault’s that caused his brakes to overheat, but otherwise felt the afternoon was relatively okay. “It wasn’t too bad,” admitted Grosjean. “I think we had a good pace, but the middle stint behind the Renault saw my brakes massively overheat, and I lost them completely...
