Pirelli chief hails the importance of F1

Pirelli CEO, Marco Tronchetti Provera is adamant the success of Pirelli as a tyre manufacturer is intrinsically linked to motorsport and says that Formula 1 is an invaluable test bed for his company's products. “To engage in motor sport means to go to the extreme of technology. Providing innovation in both performance and safety is a continuous challenge – it creates an environment in our company where passion prevails.
