McLaren: "No discussion yet" about 2017 drivers

McLaren says there has been no discussion with its drivers yet regarding the team's line-up for the 2017 Formula 1 season. Fernando Alonso's contract with the Woking-based team means the Spaniard is set to stay beyond this season, but his teammate has yet to be named. Jenson Button's current deal expires at the end of the current campaign, and the Briton has been linked with a possible move back to Williams in 2017. McLaren also has GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne on its roster, the Belgian spending 2016 competing in Japan's Super Formula after the team decided to retain Button for the current season.
