Ricciardo credits upgrade, chassis as Red Bull bites back

Daniel Ricciardo says a combination of Red Bull's chassis and the boost from Renault's much vaunted engine upgrade, as well as his own efforts, played their part in putting him well clear of the competition in FP2 for the Monaco Grand Prix. The Australian was in scintillating form during FP2, setting two lap times good enough to top the session in the Red Bull RB12, his benchmark of 1min 14.607secs putting him a mammoth six tenths clear of Lewis Hamilton's Mercedes. A continuation of Red Bull's headline grabbing performance in the Spanish Grand Prix, it comes as Ricciardo also makes use of Renault's engine upgrade this weekend, believed to be worth up to half a second a lap.
