Financially troubled Sauber to skip Spanish GP in-season test Sauber F1 Team confirmed that, they will not attend in the in-season test at Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona after Spanish GP, for a couple reasons. Sauber declared on twitter – with two main reasons – “Quick news: We (Sauber) cancelled the first in-season test in BCN. There are 2 reasons: 1. we will not introduce a car update at the Spanish GP. 2. We do not have a young/test driver available that fulfills the requirements Formula 1” The Hinwil based F1 team are going through financial troubles, they confirmed recently that monthly salaries were paid late in February and March.
