Celis given Bahrain FP1 outing by Force India

Alfonso Celis Jr has been handed a maiden FP1 outing driving Sergio Perez's Sahara Force India in Bahrain. The Mexican driver, who will compete in the Formula V8 3.5 series this season, debuted the VJM09 at pre-season testing for Force India in Barcelona, enjoying two full test days in the car. Force India has confirmed its new test and reserve driver will be back in the car for the FP1 session at the Bahrain Grand Prix with Sergio Perez sitting out. The switch does not effect Nico Hulkenberg. #FeelTheFonz: @FonsoCelisJr will make his FP1 debut at the Bahrain GP, taking over fellow Mexican Checo Perez's car. pic.twitter.com/9eJ8Hd0I6c — Sahara Force India (@ForceIndiaF1) March 24, 2016
