Wurz: GPDA letter not a 'knee-jerk' reaction
– The letter from drivers regarding the state of Formula 1 was not a "knee-jerk" reaction, according to Grand Prix Drivers' Association (GPDA) Chairman Alexander Wurz.On Wednesday, the GPDA, led by Wurz, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel, confronted what they feel is an "obsolete and ill-structured" rule-making process in Formula 1.Instead of a response to the qualifying drama in Australia, Wurz made clear that drivers were planning to speak out for some time, and that the majority backed the idea."In this case, it was an extremely clear vote regarding the desire to express our opinion," ex-Formula 1 driver Wurz explained to the BBC after the letter was...
