P2: Hamilton on top again

Lewis Hamilton continued the perfect start to the defence of his world title as he topped a rain-affected Practice Two ahead of the Australian GP. The world champion set the pace with a 1:38.841 on the intermediate tyres, having already been quickest in the day's opening session. The rain meant a slow start to the session as the drivers waited in their garages before Daniel Ricciardo ventured out on the intermediate tyres. He was followed onto the track by Daniil Kvyat in the sister Red Bull and Nico Rosberg in the Mercedes, but with conditions still treacherous it wasn't long until the Silver Arrows man ended up in the wall at Turn Six.
