Williams confirm Paul Di Resta as reserve driver
Williams have confirmed the weekend rumours; Paul Di Resta will act as reserve driver for the team in the 2016 season. As suggested over the weekend, the 2010 DTM Champion and former Force India F1 driver returns to an F1 role with Williams this year. According to the team, Di Resta will spend 'extensive time' with them at Grands Prix to ensure he's fully ready to step into the FW38 at a moment's notice, should such a situation arise during the course of the year. He'll also take part in some simulator sessions. “I am delighted to be joining Williams as reserve driver and look forward to the 2016 season.' said Di Resta of his new role, which he will dovetail alongside his DTM commitments...
