Haryanto secures final 2016 seat at Manor

– Rio Haryanto has been announced as Pascal Wehrlein's team-mate at Manor Racing this season, the final driver to be confirmed on the 2016 Formula 1 grid, ahead of the start of pre-season testing next week.As reported by GPUpdate.net last month, Haryanto has received substantial backing from personal sponsor Pertamina and further assistance from Indonesia's government to secure the seat.Haryanto will be the first Formula 1 driver in history from the country and is of three rookies on the grid this year, alongside Mercedes-backed team-mate Wehrlein and Renault's Jolyon Palmer.Haryanto finished fourth in the GP2 Series in 2015, taking three victories and two further podium finishes,...
