'Wehrlein secures F1 seat with Manor'
– DTM champion Pascal Wehrlein has landed a seat at Manor for the 2016 season, with a deal to be announced shortly, according to German publication Auto Bild.Wehrlein, who made multiple Formula 1 test outings with Mercedes and Force India last year, has long been viewed as one of the leading candidates for a race seat.Manor, which will run current-specification Mercedes power units in 2016, is the only team yet to confirm its driver line-up, with under two weeks until pre-season testing begins."[Mercedes boss] Toto Wolff led all the talks for me," Wehrlein, 21, told Auto Bild."He helped me a lot [with negotiations], for which I'm very, very grateful.
