McLaren to launch MP4-31 on February 21

McLaren has announced it will launch its 2016 car - the MP4-21 - on February 21. The launch will take place a day before the start of pre-season testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, suggesting the new car will be rolled out at the track rather than as an online launch as in previous years. McLaren confirmed the news via its Twitter account, with a slight dig at Ferrari which on the same day ended a week-long countdown with the announcement of a social media competition which would provide 10 fans with the opportunity to see the launch of its 2016 car next month.
