Celis joins Force India for F1 practice runs
Force India has announced that GP3 and Formula 3.5 driver Alfonso Celis will take part in the post-season Abu Dhabi test, as he embarks on a development role with the team. Celis, who comes from Mexico, will take on development driver duties – which will include simulator running and seven free practice sessions next year. Speaking about his opportunity, Celis said: “Ever since I started racing I’ve been dreaming of Formula 1, so it’s a huge honour to begin working with Sahara Force India. “It’s an amazing opportunity for me to learn about F1 and to work closely with the engineers and race drivers."
