Hamilton heads final Brazil practice session

Mercedes AMG Petronas World Champion Lewis Hamilton set the pace during the final practice session for the Brazilian Grand Prix, in spite of a couple of problems for the Briton at Interlagos. Hamilton’s car stopped on track at Bico de Pato due to a gearbox problem after 20 minutes but he was able to get going again and resume his programme. However, he spun entering Mergulho and had to abandon his lap, before returning to the circuit on Option tyres and posting a time of 1:12.070 Hamilton’s lap proved to be 0.123s clear of team-mate Nico Rosberg, while Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel was the only driver to get within a second of the Mercedes pilot.
