Deluge holds up US Grand Prix qualifying
Qualifying for the United States Grand Prix was delayed by half an hour on Saturday as heavy rain continued to drench the Circuit of the Americas. As local fans complained at being barred from the track during a hastily-arranged final free practice session on Saturday morning, which was run behind closed doors, the rain continued relentlessly. Spectators were allowed to take their places in the grandstands after being locked out only to see more stormy weather arrive as they took cover. AFP
