US GP Qualifying in doubt

Qualifying for the United States is in doubt after the Circuit of Americas was hit by heavy rain on Saturday. The FIA, the sport's governing body, are expected to make a decision on whether or not to alter this weekend's timetable in the next few hours. However, organisers at the Circuit of America have reacted to the overnight deluge, which continued into Saturday morning, by delaying opening the circuit 'for the safety of our fans and employees'. If the qualifying hour, due to begin at 7pm UK time, was postponed, the session would likely be rescheduled for Sunday morning. However, more bad weather is forecast for Sunday in Austin.
