Lightning risk delays start to FP2

The second free practice session for United States Grand Prix has been delayed 'indefinitely' as storms move into the Austin area. With heavy rain predicted this weekend due to a storm front being pushed towards Texas by Hurricane Patricia south of Mexico, tough FP1 took place in damp conditions, rain has been falling persistently – occasionally heavily – since then. However, with lightning being reported in the surrounding area, stewards have determined it is too dangerous for marshals to work on track and have thus been forced to delayed the start.
