Singapore GP intruder charged in court
The man who jumped onto the track during the Singapore Grand Prix was charged in court on Tuesday, after being arrested by local police on Sunday. The 27-year-old appeared in court and was accused of committing a rash act which endangered the safety of the Formula 1 drivers after he strolled across Esplanade Drive near Turn 13, the court said. British national Yogvitam Pravin Dhokia's passport was impounded, as he was unable to pay a sum of 15,000 Singaporean dollars. The report said, if convicted, Dhokia could be jailed for up to six months and/or fined up to 2,500 Singaporean dollars. The next hearing of the case is scheduled for October 6.
