Gastaldi: Vital to race at historic circuits
– Lotus Deputy Team Principal Federico Gastaldi says it is vital that Formula 1 continues to race at historic circuits, ahead of next weekend's Belgian Grand Prix.Formula 1 will return from its summer break at the revered Spa Francorchamps circuit, with the following race taking place at Monza, which has only once been absent from the calendar.Gastaldi says the sport must achieve the right balance of retaining historic venues, as well as branching out into new markets."In my opinion it is vital," he said when asked of the importance of racing at venues such as Spa Francorchamps."These tracks are the lifeblood of Formula 1.
