Late pitstop and spin cost Kvyat podium shot – Horner

Red Bull team principal Christian believes Daniil Kvyat could have been in the running for a podium finish at the British Grand Prix if not for a late pitstop and spin. Kvyat came home sixth, just 0.7 seconds shy of fifth-placed Valtteri Bottas in the Williams to record his best finish since the Monaco Grand Prix. The Russian had been involved in a battle with eventual third-place finisher Sebastian Vettel before the heavy rain arrived, but lost time when he opted to stay out a lap longer, spinning on his in-lap as he battled on a wet track with slick tyres. “The weather produced an exciting British Grand Prix, adding an interesting twist which hopefully the fans enjoyed,” said Horner....
