Eddie Jordan: F1 chief Ecclestone “should go”

Ex-Formula 1 team boss-turned-TV pundit Eddie Jordan has called for the sport’s commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone to step down. In a surprising outburst – given Jordan’s long-established close links with Ecclestone – the controversial former Jordan team chief told BBC Radio 5 Live today that it was time for a new generation of ownership to take control of F1. His words come as a joint bid to buy into F1 from the Miami Dolphins NFL team owner Stephen Ross, through his RSE Ventures company, and the Qatar sovereign wealth fund is expected in the coming weeks. "I think he's done a remarkable job but time has played its role and he should go," Jordan said of Ecclestone....
