Sauber's Nasr managed to qualify on P8 in Austria
Marcus Ericsson qualified P11. A satisfying result for the Sauber F1 Team after an exciting qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix due to drying track conditions. Felipe Nasr managed to make it into Q3 and finished 9th, while Marcus Ericsson qualified 12th. Due to Daniil Kvyat’s (Red Bull) penalty, the Sauber F1 Team drivers will start the race from P8 (Nasr) and P11 (Ericsson). Marcus Ericsson (car number 9) Qualifying: 12th in Q2 (1:10.426 min / supersoft tyres) “It is disappointing that my lap time was not good enough at the end of Q2, although I felt comfortable in the car and the team made the right calls. The conditions were difficult today, but this was the same for everyone....
