Alonso facing 20-place grid penalty

– Fernando Alonso is facing a 20-place grid penalty at this weekend's Austrian Grand Prix, after exceeding his engine allowance with three new elements.McLaren-Honda driver Alonso has taken on a new ICE (Internal Combustion Engine), Turbo Charger and MGU-H (Motor Generator Unit) for the Red Bull Ring round.The first of those engine changes leads to a 10-place grid drop, with the second and third both worth five places, resulting in an overall 20-place penalty.As Alonso will not be able to serve the full penalty, even if he qualifies on pole position, he will be hit with a time penalty, drive-through or stop/go in the race.
