Hamilton agrees new three-season contract with Mercedes

Defending world champion, Lewis Hamilton is reported to have agreed a new deal with Mercedes, with a formal announcement set to be made in Monaco later today. The British ace, delayed contract negotiations have been a major talking point during the 2015 F1 season. The delay prompted rumor that he could leave the German manufacturer and join Ferrari in 2016, but Hamilton played down these rumours and admitted earlier this month that a deal would be announced in the next few days. The British driver currently leads the driver standings by 20 points from teammate Nico Rosberg ahead of this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix.
