Smedley 'optimistic' about Monaco chances
Williams' Head of Vehicle Performance, Rob Smedley is confident that the team can build on the progress shown in Spain and deliver a 'decent weekend' in Monaco. After becoming solidly the third-fastest team on the grid in the opening races of the season, Williams driver Valtteri Bottas was able to finish ahead of the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen at the previous race in Spain. Smedley was very happy with the performance gains in Barcelona and explained that certain similarities between the Circuit de Catalunya and the Circuit de Monaco have given him optimism for this weekend's race.
