Sainz and Kvyat escape Spanish GP post-race penalty

The local hero Carlos Sainz and Red Bull speedy Daniil Kvyat have both been cleared by the race stewards following clashing at the start of the final lap of the Spanish GP. Duo made clash at Turn 1 as they battled over ninth position. The stewards opened an investigation following: 'Car 26 [Kvyat] changed direction 3 times on the main straight then under braking, touched Car 55 [Sainz]. Car 55 then left the track and re-joined in front of Car 26″ Kvyat said following the race: “I think he should be penalised. It was a nice battle but he passed me off the track, cut the chicane and didn’t give the position back. But anyway, let’s see what the stewards will say.” The full...
